Born and raised in Chesapeake Virginia, I grew up in between the rural, suburban, and in high school city atmospheres. I was always interested in art, in creation, and in high school while attending The Governor’s School for the Art’s in Norfolk, Virginia, I began to solidify my desire and passion to become an artists. Through a series of life experience I have ebbed and flowed from the art world, but always returning. I received my BA in Art History (and Communications: Media Studies) in 2019 from Old Dominion University. I had my daughter during my senior year, which took my life on a slight detour into birth work that has forever altered my life, view, and how I approach life in this current season. I received my MA in Humanities with a concentration in Visual Studies from Old Dominion in the spring of 2025, and enjoy being an art teacher while being a practicing artist. I reside in Norfolk with my daughter, wife, our three cats and our dog.
